TextScout launch in many European countries
The wait is finally over – we’re glad to announce that from now on TextScout is also available in many European countries, such as Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and the UK. Five other countries, namely Denmark, Finland, France, Netherlands and Switzerland will follow soon.
Compared to stationary text recognition systems, TextScout offers you more independence and flexibility. The mobile reading assistant allows you to take pictures of printed documents like letters, magazines, menus or flyers, and have them read out to you – anytime and anywhere. Handling TextScout is easy: The integrated alignment assistant helps you finding the best position to take a picture of the printed text.

New TextScout version 1.5
elumo´s developers are always enhancing TextScout and have added more features to the software. The new version, which we now launch in Europe, is called TextScout 1.5. It allows the user to install three different languages. TextScout automatically recognises in which language the photographed document is written and will read with the right pronunciation.
TextScout 1.5 supports nine types of Nokia phones that are listed on our website. If you already own one of the compatible phones and would like to test the mobile reading assistant, just download a free demo version from our website: http://www.textscout.eu/en/reading-phone/demo-version
First glimpse at PocketShopper
elumo is proud to present their newest software product for mobile phones: PocketShopper, a barcode-reading software enabling blind users to identify products in a supermarket or organise their daily life. PocketShopper is only available in Germany for the moment. Detailed information on PocketShopper in English will soon be available on our website. But you may already take a first glimpse at PocketShopper at SightSity Frankfurt! We’ll also keep you updated on future localisation efforts in this newsletter, of course.
